The final celebration of PDL’s NEA Big Read programming will be an open mic music and poetry night hosted by Tom Renkes with performances by musician Jessica Dominic and poet Elizabeth McBride. PDL’s NEA Big Read community read is Joy Harjo’s book of poetry, An American Sunrise. If you have a poem you would like to share, please join us. You can choose to share original poetry or music, a poem from An American Sunrise, or even one or two of your favorite songs or poems. A microphone and sound will be provided. The allotted time for performances will be limited to how many artists sign up at the beginning of the evening. Sign up at the event will be on a first come-first perform basis.
