INDISCRETION : A Demi Educational Sexhibition

INDISCRETION : A Demi Educational Sexhibition

Indiscretion is an art exhibition featuring the work of four young Michigan creatives. The reception will open to the public at the venue of Studio Anatomy located on Front Street in Downtown Traverse City at 7 PM on Friday, September 24th. This event is free and open to the public. Viewers must be 18 years of age to enter. Featuring the gallery showing of Periwinkle Seljord's "Sexual Health Conversations”, which is a multimedia project consisting of abstract paintings and research conducted by Peri throughout their collegiate experience. Peri will be speaking to the public on the basis of their work to open a safe thought forum to heal the wounds within rural cultural understanding of gender, sexuality and consciousness. Poetcried, the alias of Peyon Campbell, will be performing two sets of her romantic, honest and sensual pieces. The first set is to take place at 8 PM and then again at 9 PM. Peyton is the lead producer of this project (in collaboration with Basement Art Show) and will also be featuring her portrait photography that displays neutrality and duality of her own queerness and that of her peers. Zena, a liberated dancer will take to the stage at 10 PM. Zena, a Grand Rapids native, will be exhibiting the grace and strength it takes to be a woman through their medium of pole performance art. Reclaiming the right to thrive in her own artistry, she reminds women everywhere that we are our own vessel of our elegance and experience. We have a right to lead the industry that has punished us for our pieces. The show will close with the performance of Gail, a Traverse City musician. Gail is a pop synth artist who frees herself and the crowd through honest material surrounding themes of love, lust and being a modern human. With intrigue, she bends social gender narratives surrounding pop sound. Gail will take the stage at 11 PM. We hope you can join us.
