"Breathing Space" World Premier at Old Art Building
"Breathing Space" World Premier at Old Art Building
Leland local Rebecca Reynolds and co-director McAdoo Greer will bring their dramatic spoof Breathing Space to the Old Art Building stage for three hilarious shows June 16-18.
The play is set in an upscale lakeside village populated by the one percent and features an all-star cast of local and national, professional actors.
The characters meet up for a de-cluttering workshop at the Old Art Building, but before long the session gets sidetracked and heads downhill “faster that a Marie Kondo meltdown, as old wounds are kept, donated or thrown away like last year’s Lululemon Bucket Hat,” according to Reynolds, one of the production’s playwrights and co-directors.
A red-carpet premiere will take place on June 16, with cocktails and appetizers beginning at 6:30 pm and the show at 7:30 pm. Encore performances will take place on Saturday, June 17 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, June 18 at 3:00 pm. The matinee performance on Sunday includes an opportunity after the performance to meet the cast and directors.
