Event Description

January 28th, 2020 - Traverse City, Michigan – United Way of Northwest Michigan (UWNWMI) and Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan (AAANM) will be distributing KN95 masks to Antrim, Benzie, Emmett, Kalkaska and Grand Traverse Counties. We are grateful to the State of Michigan for helping us to secure KN95 masks for community distribution to area seniors and others who may benefit.

Below are the dates and times of drive-up for the counties listed below:
Emmett
Date: Tuesday, February 2nd
Time: 9am – 3pm (or until masks are gone)
Location: Emmett County Fairgrounds, 1129 Charlevoix Ave., Petoskey, MI 49770 Kalkaska
Date: Saturday, February 6th
Time: 10am – 2pm (or until masks are gone)
Location: Birch Street Elementary School, 309 N Birch St. Kalkaska, MI 49646

Grand Traverse
Date: Thursday, February 4th
Time: 9am – 3pm (or until masks are gone)
Location: Turtle Creek Stadium, 333 Stadium Drive, Traverse City, MI 49685

Distribution will be ten masks per person, per vehicle, with a maximum of 50 per vehicle, with driveup delivery of masks. The mask distribution will end at the times above or until all masks have been distributed, whichever is first. For the safety of our volunteers, we ask that all persons in their vehicles wear a mask.

Additional masks will be distributed to local partners in Antrim and Kalkaska County. Those partners include: Kalkaska County:

Good Samaritan Food Pantry
Moms and Tots Center

All sites have masks until they are gone.
In Benzie County, a distribution event for residents and organization is being planning with Benzie Bus and others. Residents and organizations will be able to have mask delivered or drive through an event at the Benzie Bus station in Honor. Additional details will be announce in the next week.
