July exhibit at LACA to feature artwork created during COVID-19 shutdown Artwork accepted June 16-27 The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) invites visual artists of all ages to submit artwork for a July 2020 exhibit entitled ‘Pandemic Ingenuity’ featuring artworks created begun during the COVID-19 shutdown. Symbolic works are welcome as well as portraits, jewelry, prints, textiles, sculptures, ceramics, mobiles, collage, mixed media, photography, pastels, and paintings of watercolor, oil and watercolor will be accepted. Artwork created during the art center’s Art BINGO challenge may also be submitted for the exhibit. Information about the Art BINGO challenge can be found online at www.ludingtonartscenter.org. Two dimensional work should be ready to hang. No yarn, string, or sawtooth hangers are allowed. Pedestals are available for 3-D pieces. The entry fee is $5 per artwork, with a limit of three works per artist. Completed artwork can be dropped off at LACA, 107 S. Harrison St. in downtown Ludington, between June 16-27. ‘Pandemic Ingenuity’ will be on display in the art center’s performance hall gallery and an artist reception celebrating the participating artists will take place Friday, July 17 from 5-8 p.m. For more information, contact LACA via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
