The WIAA 88.7 FM signal is currently running at low power. This is likely the result of ice damage. We are currently scheduling a crew to climb the tower and determine the cause of the problem on the antenna.

Once the problem is diagnosed, we will be able to schedule repairs accordingly.

Reduced power on 88.7 FM means that listeners on the far edges of the signal may lose the signal entirely. Other listeners throughout the area may have a weaker signal or some static interference.

Those in the Traverse City area can try listening to 94.7 FM. Classical IPR is also available to stream on the website and through the IPR mobile app.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
