On Saturday, June 4, Classical IPR presented the exclusive American broadcast of "Bachathon for Ukraine."
The marathon concert was hosted by Poland’s Szczecin Philharmonic.
“This type of event is fitting for the times that we are living in, when music and our great concert hall can be used not only for entertainment, but also for influencing our world and helping others in need,” Szczecin Philharmonic Director Dorota Serwa said.
It featured performances of a wide range of Bach and Bach-inspired works, including pianist Aaron Pilsan playing both books of The Well-Tempered Clavier.
Pilsan's performance lasted for more than five hours, and he later returned to the stage to perform additional Bach selections.

Aaron Pilsan told IPR that Bach's music was the perfect choice for this benefit concert.
"This composer stands for harmony and for different voices coming together in perfect harmony," Pilsan explained.
IPR selected Sunflower of Peace as its charity partner for the broadcast. When donating, please specify that the gift is in support of the Bachathon for Ukraine concert on Classical IPR.
Classical IPR thanks Kevin Kleinmann and Delia Zaleski for their support in the live broadcast.
