Is your special someone waiting for you at this Traverse City bookstore?

"What surprised us is that they talk not only about finding a love interest at the bookstore, but also their love of the bookstore. That's been very sweet and unexpected," Reynolds said about testimonies from patrons.

Stateside's conversation with Amy Reynolds and Victor Herman, owners of Horizon Books in Traverse City.

If we can't talk about love stories on Valentine's Day, when can we?  Which is why today seemed appropriate to talk to Horizon Books, right there on Front Street in downtown Traverse City, which has a long history of romantic encounters.

This is a place where there is a lot of love floating around those shelves of books. There are store owners, staff members, and customers all falling in love!

Amy Reynolds and Victor Herman, owners of Horizon Books, joined Stateside to share the love stories that have played out in their shop.

Listen above for the full conversation to hear Reynolds and Herman share their own love story. You'll also hear them describe the "warm and relaxed and welcoming" environment of the shop that invites conversation between visitors.
