Kids Commute - Gulliver’s Travels Week! Thursday

It’s great to have you back with us for Gulliver’s Travels Week on Kids Commute from Interlochen Public Radio. This week, we’re on an adventure with Lemuel Gulliver, the main character from a story by Irish author Jonathan Swift. Music composed by Bernard Hermann and Georg Philipp Telemann will help us imagine the story.

Our path through the story has introduced us to the people of Liliput, Blefescu and the Brombingnagians. Plus, we’ve played chess against a king. Wild adventures, for sure! In today’s show, we meet the Laptutians and their clappers...wait, their what? Anyway, today we travel to a flying island where they really love math. While we’re there, we’ll listen to music from “The Gulliver Suite” by German composer Georg Phillip Telemann. After the music, we’ll give you the final hint to this week’s Kids Commute Quizlet. If you get the answer right, we’ll send you a Kids Commute Prize Pack! Thanks for listening to Kids Commute - classical music appreciation for kids - from Interlochen Public Radio.
