Detroit Symphony Orchestra LIVE: Classical Roots Celebration

Join Classical IPR Friday, March 8 at 10:40 a.m. for a live broadcast of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

The Friday morning concert takes place in Orchestra Hall and is produced in partnership with WRCJ Detroit and WKAR.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will honor Dr. William F. Pickard, notable Detroit philanthropist and founder of the Arthur L. Johnson Fund for African American Artists, and Dr. Robert A. Harris, respected African-American composer and Professor of Music, at the 41st Annual Classical Roots Celebration. Classical Roots honors African-American composers, musicians and educators for lifetime achievement and raises funds to support the DSO's African-American music and musician development programs.
